Ottawa, ON – C’est Bon Cooking opened registration today for it’s first-ever maple food tour, focusing on the delights of all things maple. The walking tours will run March 13th to April 10th – 10 dates in all - in the ByWard Market and will feature the many ways maple products are used by local restaurants, shops and food artisans in the area.
“We are extremely privileged to be surrounded by so many maple sugar producers in the National Capital region,” says co-owner and marketing manager at C’est Bon Cooking, Stefanie Siska. “It seemed an obvious choice for a tour theme for this time of year.”
The 1.5 hour tour will take participants to a variety of ByWard Market staple establishments to sample some well-known and not so well known maple products and maple creations.
“Don’t expect to just taste local maple syrup,” says Siska. “There are a lot more maple products and uses for maple sugar than you think. We’re excited about helping people discover some of them on our tour.”
Tickets are available via the C'est Bon Cooking website at www.cestboncooking.ca. C’est Bon Cooking is also offering a $5 rebate on tickets purchased for tours running during the March Break – March 13 to 20th. Families are welcome. Tickets and group size is limited, however, private tours are available for groups of 8 to 12.
C’est Bon Cooking has been offering cooking classes and walking food tours, in both official languages, since 2010. Classes resume in April; food tours run year round and in 5 different neighbourhoods in Ottawa.
